Most UAE banks cap total monthly obligations at 50% of gross income, and apply a stress-tested interest rate to make sure you can still afford repayments if rates rise. Rates typically range from around 3.75% to 5%, depending on the bank, loan type and your profile. Fixed rates usually apply for the first 1 to 5 years before switching to variable.
